DoorStop X Firewall Leopard and Snow Leopard features |
 |
The DoorStop X Firewall 2.3 is an upgrade to our easy-to-use personal firewall (a part of our DoorStop X Security Suite), mainly adding support for Apple's new Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6) operating system, and the iPhone. Leopard and Snow Leopard-specific features include:
- Updated protection details for services such as Screen Sharing (through two different methods) and Remote Management.
- DoorStop's protection of iChat's Screen Sharing service is particularly critical for anyone considering using that service.
- DoorStop's Setup Assistant includes a number of (Snow) Leopard-specific features, such as a "What's New" pane and detailed information and options on iChat Screen Sharing.
- Direct access to the most recent version of our book, with major new sections on Snow Leopard (and iPhone) features.
- Direct access to our blog and Twitter stream, which detail Snow Leopard security issues as they evolve.
- Service names matching those used in (Snow) Leopard.
- General Snow Leopard support and bug fixes.
DoorStop was the first Macintosh firewall, for Mac OS 8.1 in 1998. Open Door has been shipping security products since that time. We know how to help you make your Macintosh secure on the Internet.
